Hawaiian Sweet Roll Cinnamon Buns

Craving cinnamon buns but don’t want to wait hours for dough to rise? Today, we are making Hawaiian Cinnamon Buns using the ultimate shortcut—Hawaiian sweet rolls! These are incredibly gooey, packed with a rich brown sugar cinnamon filling, and topped with a decadent homemade cream cheese icing.

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Mix the Filling: In a small bowl, blend the softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth and well combined.
- Assemble: Slice the sheet of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally (like a large slider), keeping the individual rolls attached to one another and place into an 8×8 pan
- Spread: Smear roughly 3/4 of the cinnamon-sugar butter evenly across the bottom half of the rolls. Place the top half back on, and spread the remaining 1/4 of the mixture smoothly over the top.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and caramelized.
- Whip the Icing: While the buns bake, blend the cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar in a bowl until completely smooth. Set aside.
- Cool & Frost: Remove the buns from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for 30 minutes. Spread the icing generously over the top and serve.
