Ingredients
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350f, Melt butter in a sauce pan, stir in brown sugar until smooth and completely dissolved ( about 2 min)

- Let cool for 5 min. Add vanilla and stir. Add egg and egg yolk and stir until smooth
- Fold in flour, baking soda and salt.
- Check to ensure cookie dough isn’t too warm before adding chocolate chips. Fold in 3/4 cup of chocolate chips, and place in the refrigerator for 1 hr. reserving 1/4 cup of chocolate chips for the top
- Spread cookie dough in an 8×8 silicon pan and sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips. Bake for 19-25 min. DO NOT OVERBAKE. It is done when the center is a little jiggly – they will continue to set after you remove from the oven.
- Allow to cool for 30 min before cutting into bars

You can adjust the amount of chocolate chips to your taste
